• Cefixime (100 mg) – Bactericidal Action (Cephalosporin Class):
o Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs).
o Prevents cross-linking of peptidoglycan, leading to bacterial cell lysis and death.
o Effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
• Ofloxacin (100 mg) – Bactericidal Action (Fluoroquinolone Class):
o Inhibits DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and repair.
o Prevents bacterial multiplication, leading to cell death.
o Broad-spectrum activity, including Gram-negative and atypical bacteria.

• Broad-spectrum coverage: Effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
• Synergistic action: Combining a cephalosporin and fluoroquinolone enhances bacterial eradication.
• Indicated for various infections, including:
• Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia)
